Brainchild of Salita Development, The Bedford sits on the corner of Division Street and Ashland Avenue in a historic landmark bank building. Built in 1925 as the original Home Bank & Trust, The Bedford takes its name from the exterior elements: limestone mined in Bedford, IN. Nevertheless, outside appearances aren’t the main focus here. Enter through a small portage on Division Street, head down the staircase and emerge inside an 8,000 square foot den filled with timepiece touches of terra cotta, marble and terrazzo. Cozy up with a cocktail inside the main attraction, the original vault room filled with floor-to-ceiling lockboxes, reached by stepping through the open door of the oversized copper vault. Those looking for a livelier meeting place can post up at the central bar or slip into the booths in the elevated back area. The Bedford is available any night for private parties or special events. Entire venue buyouts are available.
