The Precinct began the Jeff Ruby tradition of dining in restaurants with a story. Housed in the former Police Patrol House Number 6, this 1901 Romanesque-style structure with its round, arched windows and intimate, rich interior is in the National Registry of Historic Landmarks and is the perfect setting for this old-world steakhouse.
A favorite of power brokers and celebrities alike, The Precinct has enjoyed great reviews and continued success since our opening in 1981. This is the classic steakhouse that started it all.
Jeff Ruby's Precinct is rated by the prestigious Zagat Guide higher than any steakhouse in Chicago and New York City.
