Crady's Restaurant started as a small coffee shop and has evolved into a small-town bistro with a big-city attitude! Crady's Restaurant is owned by the Whitley family: Les (pops), Barbara (mom), and Heather (daughter). Barbara is our Master Baker and my brother, Adam was the creative genius behind Crady's Umami. Les, a retired Coastal Carolina University professor, says he has now retired and "gone to work". We call him our former Ph.D., which now stands for "Pot Handler and Dishwasher". Les helps wherever and whenever he is needed, so you may see him from time to time when you come visit. Heather is the "'jack of all trades ", which means you'll see her doing about everything else EXCEPT cooking! She manages the restaurant and handles all catering coordination. Wondering why none of the family is named "Crady?" You are not alone. We get asked that all the time. Crady is Barbara's maiden name - and the restaurant is named as a tribute to Barbara's mother, Najgy Crady.
