ChikyBoom is an authentic Cuban eatery serving cafes, breakfast, lunch, and dinner in the heart of downtown Red Bank, NJ. Chef Eduardo Bover's unique take on island cuisine is sure to please even the most discerning palate, and our courteous, fun and knowledgeable staff will make you feel like family. At ChikyBoom, we pride ourselves on offering a dining experience that showcases the true heart and spirit of Cuban cuisine. ChikyBoom is also home to local artists, writers, financiers, and comedians. Our Chef Executive Chef Eduardo Bover hails from Manzanillo, Cuba. In addition to a degree from New York's Institute of Culinary Education, Chef Bover has extensive experience managing restaurants around the world, and has honed his skills in such famed Cuban restaurants as Ay Que Rico, Mojito Cuban Cuisine in Brooklyn, New York, and Café Fuego in Manhattan. Chef Bover has a true talent and passion for combining zesty island flavors with creative presentations to highlight the beauty of Cuban cuisine. ART DISPLAY: Stop by and you'll get a glimpse of one (or more) local art displayed on our left dining room wall. POETRY READINGS & COMEDY: Poetry has long been a far more intimate affair than prose and it's a touching experience to see it performed in person. Comedy is one of the oldest forms of drama intended to be humorous, funny and amusing. At ChikyBoom, we hold open mic nights for poetry and comedy on the second and fourth Tuesday of each month.
